My Competition

I have decided to compare the system I am using to some other alternatives out there for March, April, May, and June. At that time I may find a better way to make money off forex. I will measure by percent and or pips, Here is my competition:

I closed out my long trade on GBP after seeing a strong downtrend. 217 strong pips. I am still long in euro waiting for an exit signal. Current Balance: 11456.86 Equity: 14783.93. I have nearly tripled the account in two months. Kinda cool.

The Holy Grail? I stumbled upon an ebay listing that is selling an EA that doubles your forex account every month. Ok just to let you know that would take $2000 and make it $8 million in 1 year! I am killing it! Going long when the euro is hitting an all time high is sweet! Unrealized profit of nearly 5 grand since 2/22. Me like-y. I like this mid term trading thing.

I took two tardes this morning with great timing on Euro and the Pound. Unrealized gain of $1220 so far. I need to adjust my lot sizes though as I am risking 10% a trade- way to much. Equity: $10633.71. I have managed to double in less than a month.

Ok after several losing trades in a row, I have decided to use the mid-term techique more. It uses 1 hour charts, so I won't be glued to the screen. I am in a mid-term trade that has gained $800 so far. Balance: $7798.40

Ok this week is off to a better start than last week ended. 8 out of 10 winning trades. I have found that I trade better in the afternoon or PM times, so that is what I'm going to stick to. Current balance:$4131.53.

Ok I'm starting over with a new demo. Basically calling a mulligan. I don't play much golf, but you get the idea. I need to manage my paper money better (i.e 3%). So started the day with $5000 and currently at $4438.66 after 4 losing trades.

You may be wondering why I came with this title... two reasons. One I rented it and fell asleep on it. And two I must have forgot my training because I'm getting killed in the market. In two days I have managed to lose more than $1300.oo. I attribute this to my lack of discipline and I need to review the system. Let's see if I can get my mind right....

Not A Bad Start

Ok I really need to review the FFE system rules because I took some trades that I should not have. A USD/JPY loss of $194.48, then I closed out USD/CHF at break-even, followed by $40 loss on the GBP. Then some winning started kicking in: made $176.56, took a $80 hit on the Euro. Finally to end the day, made $230 on both AUD and NZD. I started this morning with exactly $5000 in my demo account and it now sits at $5322.08. Not bad at all.

So I was a little excited about starting my training. On my other pc, I did some practice trading yesterday. Let's consider it a scrimmage. Well I loss a little (10%) then the EUR showed me some love (25%+)! Today I looked back after the market closed and I saw the opportunity to make about 80 pips. Not bad for a Frida, the day of the week I usually get killed. Well Monday I begin paper trading and hopefully within 3 months I'll make some real paper on this.

I have read most of the material concerning the day trading system and much of the material that covers the mental game. I read it twice and now I am very comfortable with it. It is not a difficult system. Although I won't start training until next Monday, I have set up my charts and have seen several profitable opportunities. I can't wait to prove to myself (and you all) that this can work with paper trading, then on to the real money....

Ok after months of consideration of my options, I have decided to go the education and mentoring route under Strategic Trading Systems and mentoring by Jon Levine. I put in a lot of thought and research and I read 99.5% good things about his system and mentoring. I'm off to read about this system. Let's see if we can get it done....
